interior contract award 2015 – for textile spaces

The interior contract award – for textile spaces, which the textile firm Zimmer + Rohde set up in 2013, is now entering its second year. In cooperation with AIT, the prize will once again be awarded to projects that exemplify an innovative and captivating use of textiles in interiors. The multi-stage nomination competition focuses on holistic textile room design in respect to eight different aspects:

• Living Areas

• Hotel Interiors

• Lifestyle Venues

• Healing Grounds

• Maritime Spaces

• Experimental Ideas

• Temporary Spaces

• Working Environments

In the first phase of the interior contract awards, a ten-person nominating jury, made up of renowned architects and interior designers, will nominate projects which were completed after 1 January 2012, and which are relevant to the individual topics. In the second phase of the competition, the seven-person awarding jury, made up of internationally renowned architects, designers and interior designers, will judge the participating projects in a closed jury session in August 2015 and will select this year’s winner from among them. The interplay between textiles and other materials, the atmosphere created and the overall concept all play a particularly important role in this.Project recommendations will be accepted until 20 May 2015 at the interior contract award 2015, all of the projects chosen by the jury as well as the competition winners will be presented as part of an exhibition as well as published in book form.
